Bartkala Saltak has been looking after her grandchildren Mortaza and Imira Jasam since the death of her son. Mortaza is 12 and studying in the sixth grade at school. Eleven-year-old Imira is in the fifth grade. They have suffered double heartbreak because after their father died, their mother left them and re-married.

They are from a poor family and the rations they receive from The Orphan Trust make all the difference. They tell us: “The food is available and enough for a month before we receive the next rations from The Orphan Trust, Alhmdallha. Thank you so much for The Orphan Trust because you really help us with food.”
