Naklaiy lbaa Alsada has been looking after her five children since her husband died of a heart problem and left them with nothing. The children are Kasam, aged 14, Rukay, who is 12, eight-year-old Husaen, Jasam who is six and Ali, aged two. They all live with her mother-in-law and have to manage on very little. Husaen has only one shirt and trousers for school, for example.

They tell us: “We are poor families and we live in a poor place. There is no one to help us except The Orphan Trust. Thank you very much for giving us the food, which gives us each something to eat because we are a big family.”
